Meet Our Officers

Our officer team is made up of seven highly motivated members of the Texas A&M Men's Water Polo team who were elected to fill their current role. Each one has their own tasks and responsibilities that help the team succeed in and out of the pool. Without them, none of this would be possible.

Xander Zerr — President

Xander Zerr — President

Oversees the officer board and manages all external communications

Xander oversees all aspects of team operations, ensuring every department works in sync toward shared goals. He serves as the primary point of contact between the team and outside organizations, sponsors, and governing bodies. In addition, he leads the planning and coordination of tournaments, making sure events run smoothly and reflect the team’s high standards.

Mason Mote — Vice President

Mason Mote — Vice President

Organizes trips/events logistics and supports the other officers

Mason manages the planning and logistics for team trips and events, including tournaments, travel, and facility reservations. He ensures smooth operations on the road and steps in as acting president when needed to maintain strong leadership and continuity.

Manu Singhal — Director of Internal Affairs

Manu Singhal — Director of Internal Affairs

Manages long term projects like the YouTube Livestream, Website, and Flywire Estore

Manu manages long‑term projects to grow the team’s presence, overseeing technical operations like the website, livestream, and eStore. He also handles internal needs such as uniforms and equipment, ensuring both the team’s public image and day‑to‑day operations run smoothly.

Parker Kooyman — Treasurer

Parker Kooyman — Treasurer

Manages team finances, refunds, and check requests

Parker oversees all financial operations for the team, from maintaining the ledger and preparing allocation presentations to processing reimbursements. He ensures resources are managed responsibly to support competitions, events, and long‑term goals.

Nick Amann — Social Chair

Nick Amann — Social Chair

Runs social media, events, and weekly emails

Nick leads the team’s communications and community presence, managing social media, maintaining the website, and organizing social events. He keeps members informed through weekly updates and serves as the link between the officer board and the team.

Ryan Sharar — Fundraising Chair

Ryan Sharar — Fundraising Chair

Leads fundraisers, sponsorships, and merch

Ryan drives the team’s revenue efforts by organizing and executing fundraisers, securing sponsorships, and managing merchandise and apparel sales. He ensures the program has the financial support needed to compete and grow.

Leyton Kraft — Captain

Leyton Kraft — Captain

Leads the team in the water and beyond, driving unity and performance

Leyton leads the team in and out of the pool, planning and running practices, managing equipment, and representing the squad during games and tournaments. He also recruits coaching candidates before each season, ensuring the team is prepared to compete at its highest level.

Our coaching staff provides the vision, structure, and expertise that drive Texas A&M Men's Water Polo forward. From designing practice plans and developing players’ skills to making strategic game‑time decisions, they ensure the team is prepared, competitive, and united both in and out of the pool.

Alessandro Ipson — Head Coach

Alessandro Ipson — Head Coach

Oversees practices, player development, game strategy, and team selection

Alessandro has been immersed in water polo for nearly a decade, competing with Del Mar WPC and Shores Water Polo in San Diego. At Canyon Crest Academy, he played three seasons of varsity water polo, capturing a Division 1 CIF Championship his senior year and earning All‑Division 1 honors. After high school, he transitioned into coaching at La Jolla United, guiding boys’ and girls’ teams at the 10U, 12U, and 14U levels. Now a Marketing & Sales major at Mays Business School, Alessandro brings both competitive experience and a passion for mentorship to the Aggie program.
